Christ Centered Recovery Need

Immanuel Baptist Church, Butler, MO, provides a place for the CCR (Christ Centered Recovery) Program to meet.  This is a recovery program for addicts and alcoholics that utilizes a 12 step Christ-centered method to help those addicted kick the habit.

There is a Bates County resident who has become aware of a need for handicap access for individuals with limited mobility seeking recovery, and, as part of a community give-back project and of his court mandated treatment program, he would like to build a handicap ramp.  The cost of the project is $1500 to purchase the materials.  Three benefits of providing this access ramp are:

  1. Handicap youth in the community would have access to Christian youth programs.
  2. Handicap people who suffer from addiction would have a way to attend CCR meetings.
  3. Handicap people desiring to study the Bible would have a place to meet for Sunday school.

If any group or individual would care to donate to this Project, they can make donations in the form of a check made payable to Immanuel Baptist Church with the note “for the Handicap Access Project” in the memo line.  In return for your gift, you will receive documentation as to your contribution to a tax exempt charitable project.

For more information you can contact John Manning, leader of CCR, at 660-679-5889.  Or send your donations in care of John Manning, 10113 NE State Rt. H, Butler, MO 64730
