Shoeboxes for Mexico

Wendell is going to Mexico again this December to take Christmas Shoeboxes to the children of the dump and the children's homes of Casa Hogar and Pan de Vida.  To be part of this ministry, fill a normal size cardboard or plastic shoebox with the top wrapped separately from the bottom with at least 2 hygiene item (tooth brush, toothpaste, mild bar soap placed inside a plastic bag, comb, washcloth, hair stuff, etc.), 1 clothing item (socks, underwear, t-shirt (no writing or evil pictures please), etc.), 2 school supply items (pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps & ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring books, etc.), and 2 small toys (small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch-A Sketch, Slinky, etc.).  All items NEED TO BE NEW and toys should NOT use batteries that need to be replaced or toys that could broken easily. Since Mexico's official language is Spanish do NOT include English books.  DO NOT include candy, any liquid or lotion, medications or vitamins, or anything in an aerosol can. After you have packed your shoebox with the items purchased without overfilling your it, secure the box with a ribbon or rubber band so that the box can be easily opened.  Also mark the shoebox clearly as to the gender and age bracket of the child to receive the box.  Age brackets are:  infant, 2-4, 5-9, 10-14, and 15-19.  Remember to PRAY for the child that will receive your shoebox.

Remember all the items need to be new. Bring the gift by the ORBA office, 201 N. Willow St., Butler, MO by Monday, December 21, 2015.
